Services for Aaron  William "Bill" Keoke, "Ookiya Waste" Good Helper, 79, of Grenville, SD will be as follows a Wake service on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD, from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with a lunch to follow at First Baptist Church; an all-night Wake service on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the SWOTCC, Agency Village, SD starting at 7:00 P.M.; Monday morning a Breakfast at 7:00 A.M. at the SWOTCC, Agency Village, SD, then process to Mossman Cemetery, Eagle Butte, SD. Officiating the services will be Senior Catechist John Cloud III, Pastor Milton Owen, Episcopal Lay Readers, Guest Speaker Jessi Larson and Deacon Jim Bregel. Drum Group will be Old Agency Singers. Special Music will be Colby Crawford. Organist will be Billy Kohl. Pall Bearers will be Joe Owen, Keith Fleury, Tim Jeanotte, Brian Donner, Ron Bau, Mark Rhoades and Bryce MacConnell. Honorary Pall Bearers are too many & too numerous to mention all of them! Interment will be at the Mossman Cemetery in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Aaron William "Bill" Keoke, born July 18, 1946, to Delvina Bernard and Marquette Keoke. Bill grew up in and around Sisseton, graduating high school as a Peever Panthers on May 26, 1966. Our Class Motto was, "At The End, Is The Beginning". After graduating he attended Interstate Business College earning an AA in Accounting.

August 5, 1967, Bill married his first wife Sandra Malaterre to this union his first-born son Aaron was born in September 1968 and two years later September 1970 a daughter Candace Marie was born in North Dakota. December 1973, daughter Susan was born. Saddened, Susan was adopted and recently on April 8, 2026, they met for the first time.  Tehya (Susans daughter) also met her grandpa Bill! Bill was so happy they came. February 1978 Bill married Betty Beaver with a son Roman Keoke born in December 1978 in Aberdeen, SD.

July 18, 1987 (his birthday) Bill married the love of his life Patricia Pearman, blessing him with three more daughters: Fredricka, Melanie and Tracy "Chopped Liver". Bill retired from the BIA after 28 years. He was the Old Agency District Coordinator 2019-2023 and District Vice-chair 2023-2025.

Bill was baptized, confirmed, and member of the St. Mary's Episcopal Church. He was an avid bowler earning three 300 rings in that career! He also loved a good game of pool. Bills extensive travels included: traveling to China and walking the Great Wall, to the Grand Canyon. His favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers, New York Yankees and the Bostin Celtics.

Bill is survived by his children Aaron Keoke, Candace Jeanotte, Susan Dauphnais, Roman Keoke, Fredrica Rhodes, Melanie Bau and Tracy Urich! (And she is not chopped liver, she was #1 in my heart); 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren!; sisters Iris Keoke and Tekakwitha Seaboy; brothers Jess Larsen, Mark Keoke and Marquette Alvarez!; brother-in-law Garry Owen Sr.; I've lost count of the many nieces/nephews I have!; In-laws James (Terry) Pearman, Susan (Kenny) Traversie, Antoinette Pearman (Wayne), Carson Mound, Sally Pearman (Pat), Nita Pearman all of Eagle Butte, SD and Stephanie (Gerald) Davidson of Rapid City, SD. I have friends in Ft. Thompson who refer to me as Uncle Bill! Bill Hawk, Joe Sazue, Quintin McGhee, Scott Shields!; Tunwin's Edwina, Helena and Leona; Isi's Gerald and Randy; many Tahansi and Hankasi's; all my many Friends and their Spouses; Significant others and their families; Cheryl, Julie, Ruthie, Jeanne, Jan and Linda; I think that should cover everybody I know! So, nobody should feel left out!

He is proceded in death by his wife Patricia Pearman Keoke; parents Delvina Bernard and Marquette Keoke; sister Inez Keoke Owen; maternal grandparents Lavinia and Aaron Bernard; and paternal grandparents Etta and Jacob Keoke.
