Funeral Mass for William "Billy" Michael Haubris Jr., 36, of Watertown, South Dakota will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Sisseton, South Dakota with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Celebrant will be Fr. Ken Lulf. Organist will be Bill Nelson and song leaders Cindy Marohl and Sandi Jaspers. Pall Bearers will be Sean Shepherd, Stefan Shepherd, Joseph Heminger, Duane Schneider, Joe Schneider, and Michael Schneider. Honorary Pall Bearers will be All of William's Friends and Family. Interment will be in the Peever Cemetery, Peever, SD with Military Honors by Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Post #50 and Ft. Sisseton VFW Post # 3342. Folllowing interment there will be lunch at the Peever Community Center, Peever, SD. Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

William Michael Haubris Jr. of Watertown SD, died at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. on December 3, 2025, after months of struggling with liver and kidney failure.

He was born in Sisseton, SD December 14, 1988, to William J. Haubris and Sandra (Divine) Haubris. Growing up he loved playing basketball and running across country and made lots of friends throughout the years. William attended Sisseton High School before joining the US Army and served from June 2007 until November of 2011  being deployed on two tours. He received the Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, Army Commendation Medal (3rd award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge with driver- wheeled vehicle(s) – clasp.

Billy and his friends were constantly hanging out and having fun. From playing poker to recording music videos, they were together through it all.

Everyone who knew Billy knew how much he loved playing video games in his spare time and reading comic books. Over the years he started streaming playing "minecraft" on twitch and created a small group of friends with which he was extremely close with.

William is survived by his father William Haubris Sr. of Peever, SD sister Cassie Haubris of Peever, SD, and brother Kevin Haubris of Madison, SD along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

William was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Haubris, his maternal grandparents Beverly Bird and John Divine, and his paternal grandparents William and Frances Haubris.
