Funeral Service for Vickie Ann (Dawson) Keller, 57 of Veblen, SD will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010, at 10:30 AM at Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Suzanne Benidt officiating. Pallbearers will be Dalton Mayo, Xavier Mayo, Todd Weber,Donnie Borgen, Michael Keller and Gary Keller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Mayo, Anthony Hultgren, Matthew Thompson, David Thompson, Nathan Thompson and Jason Strother. Interment will be in the Veblen Cemetery, Veblen, SD. There will be visitation on Thursday, October 28, 2010, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. and one hour prior to the funeral at the Cahill Funeral Chapel.
Vickie was born on October 8, 1953 in Augusta, Georgia to Bill and Valerie"Jean" (Gay) Dawson. Vickie was raised in Florida. Vickie was united in marriage to Gary Chwialkowski in Pensacola, Fl in 1970. She lived in Minnesota, North Dakota and Arizona. She worked as a nurse's aid. Vickie was united in marriage to Jeff Keller at Britton, SD. They made their home at Veblen, SD. She loved passing her time caring for her beloved pets Nas, Baby Girl and Brandy. Vickie passed away on October 26, 2010 in Sioux Falls, SD from a long term illness.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Jeff Keller of Veblen, SD; one daughter; Conni Mayo and Todd Weber of Sioux Falls, SD, and one son, Chris Chwialkowski of Kelseyville, CA; five grandchildren,, Tommy Mayo, Dalton Mayo, Xavier Mayo, Jessica Chwialkowski and Caitlynn Chwialkowski; and two sisters, Libby Strother of Los Angeles, CA and Kimberly McCrellias of Oshkosh, NE; six nieces and nephews; Anthony Hultgren, Matthew Thompson, David Thompson, Nathan Thompson, Jason Strother and Jessica Strother.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Valerie "Jean" and Bill Dawson Jr.; and one brother, Michael Dawson.
