Obituary

Funeral Service for Twila Faye Cloud, 70 of Agency Village, SD will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton  Oyate Community Center, Agency Village, SD with the Rev. Fr. Charles Chan, Pastor Milton Owen, and Senior Catechist John Cloud III officiating.  Pianist will be Billy Kohl.  Pallbearers will be John Two Stars Jr., Donnie Eastman, Curtis RedEarth, Caleb Ironheart, Marlo Cloud, Bradley Cloud, and Jose Martinez.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Naomi Jones, Crystal Venegas,  Edmund Two Stars, Nippy and Bobbi Owen and family, Angie Johnson and family, Dina Canku,  Jessie and Terri Larsen and family,  Colleen Eastman, Nadine Eastman, Tammy DeCoteau, Sherry Johnson,  Duane and Teddy LaBelle and family, Cari Ironheart and family, Renae Ferguson and family, Denise Zeabala and family, Charnel Hill and family, Yvonne and Stefanie RedEarth, , the RedEarth Family, Fern and Raine Cloud and family, and "all her family and friends."  Interment will be in St. John's Episcopal Cemetery, Rural Browns Valley, SD.  Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center, Agency Village at 7:00 P.M.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Twila Faye Wilson was born on May 4, 1946 in Flandreau,  SD to Cecil A. and Hildreth (Two Stars) Wilson.  She attended Agency Day School and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1964.  Following her education she attended Aberdeen School of Commerce for secretarial.  In August 12, 1966 Twila was united in marriage to Iver Cloud at Webster, SD.  They made their home in Huron and Seattle before settling in Aberdeen, SD where Twila worked at the BIA and IHS for over eighteen  years. In 1979 Twila moved to Veblen, SD and she went to work for IHS in Sisseton in medical records office.  She later worked for Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate in planning, where she was involved in writing grants for the elderly.  She attended Sisseton Wahpeton Community College for one year.  Twila retired in the late 1980's.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking.  Twila passed away on March 2, 2017 at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.

Twila is survived by her husband, Iver Cloud of Peever, SD; one son, Iver V. C loud of Watertown, SD; and one daughter, Wyndalyn and husband Jose Martinez of Aberdeen, SD; four grandchildren; one sister, Crystal Venegas of Aberdeen, SD; one aunt, Naomi Jones of Aberdeen, SD; one step brother and two stepsisters in Tulsa, OK.

Twila was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents; two sisters, Sharron Rice and Floy Venegas; and one brother, John "Skip" Wilson.
