A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Eidskog Lutheran Cemetery, Ortonville, MN.

Funeral Service for Tracy Marie Sherod, 49, ičhimani Wiŋ, Traveling Woman (who returns home) of Ortonville, MN will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village with John Cloud III and Episcopal Layers officiating.  Pianist will be Billy Kohl.  Pallbearers will be Dennis Sherod Jr., Larry Keoke, Robbie Keoke, Robert John, Joshua Keoke, Wayland Maestas, Matthew Keoke, Jacob Kurrasch, Jordan Kurrasch, ands Jarred Kurrasch.  Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Tracy's Friends and Relatives.  Drum Group will be Raymond and Company. There will be an all-night Wake Service at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Eidskog Lutheran Cemetery, Ortonville, MN  in the spring.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Funeral Service will also be held on Sunday, March 26 2023 at Abiding Faith Free Lutheran Church, Ortonville, MN at 2:00 P.M with Pastor Richard Larson officiating.  There will be visitation at the church from 1:00 P.M. to service time.

Tracy was born May 14, 1973 to Dennis Brant and Darlene (Barse) Keoke in Sisseton, SD. She attended school at Tiospa Zina Tribal School and grew up in the Sisseton area.  Tracy met the love of her life, Dale in April 1992, while visiting her sister Phyllis, who was married to Dale's Brother Dennis. Tracy was the mother of Christopher, who she welcomed in March 1991.  On July 8, 1994 Tracy and Dale were married in Sisseton and the family became one.  On December 12, 1994 the couple was blessed with twin girls Samantha and Stephanie.  Tracy and Dale made a home in Ortonville, MN.  In August 2011 the family was blessed with one more child Zecharia. Tracy was a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved her family more than anything. She loved camping, fishing. Pow Wow's and above all else winning at the casino.  Tracy passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND with family by her side.

Tracy is survived by her husband Dale of twenty seven years; two daughter Samantha Sherod of Ortonville, MN and Stephaine Sherod of Harwood, ND; two sons Christopher (Liz) Sherod of Harwood, ND and Zachariah Sherod of Ortonville, MN; four grandchildren Corbin, Ryker, Rylan and Rylee; brothers Larry Keoke of Agency  Village, SD,  Willis Keoke of Peever, SD, Robert Keoke Sr. of Watertown, SD and Quincy (Lori) Brant of Watertown, SD and Arliss Keoke of Ortonville, MN; sisters Michelle (Mike) Brant-Little of Browns Valley, MN, Dorcy Brant-Kurrasch of Ortonville, MN; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tracy was preceded in death by her parents;  one son William Dale Sherod; sisters Debbie Keoke and Phyllis Keoke-Sherod; brothers Conrad Bernard, Darwin Mireau, and Marvin Keoke
