Todd S. Weinkauf, 56, formerly of Sisseton, SD passed away on November 12, 2012 due to injuries received in a MVA near Grants Pass, OR. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Sisseton, SD. Todd Stanley Weinkauf was born on April 11, 1956 to Arthur and Elaine (Frost) Weinkauf in Sisseton, SD. He attended Sisseton High School and after school he joined the U.S. Army, in September 1973. He was stationed at Fort Polk, LA for basic training, and then stationed at Red Stone Arsenal, AL. He was trained as an ammunition storage specialist. He was later stationed at Kaisers Laughtern and Manheim, Germany. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and was discharged in September 1975. Back at home he worked various jobs in and around the Sisseton area. He married Sheri Just in November 1976 and later divorced in July 1981. They had one daughter together, Jennifer Lynn. In the summer of 1985 he moved to the Silver Valley of Northern Idaho where he worked as a silversmith at Silver Dynamics. In 1996 he moved to Selma, Oregon where he met and married Cameron Anderson on July 21, 1998. While in Selma he worked at Rough & Ready Lumber Company. He was a member of The American Legion.

Todd appreciated the beauty of nature, wildlife and animals. He enjoyed gardening and the thrill of growing and nurturing anything he could. Todd enjoyed his many years as a silversmith, loved history and enjoyed reading and learning as much as could about his many diverse interests. Todd was a hard worker; he was kind, giving and loving and would truly lend a helping hand to anyone. He had such a great sense of humor in all he did, a true joy for life, brought instant warmth to all who knew him. Todd cherished his two granddaughters! Todd and Cameron were the love of each other lives! He had the biggest heart and will be greatly missed by all!

He is survived by his wife Cameron of Selma, OR, daughter Jennifer Weinkauf and granddaughters, Brooklyn and Brielle of Fargo, ND, mother Elaine Weinkauf of Sisseton, SD, brother Aaron Weinkauf of Breckenridge, MN, Rondo (Bobbi) Weinkauf of Breckenridge, MN, Craig (Maure) Weinkauf of Watertown, SD, Terry Weinkauf of Sisseton, John Weinkauf of Osborne, ID, Jody Weinkauf of Sisseton, sister Tami Weinkauf of Watertown, his sister-in-laws Robin Gillespie (Gerry) of Australia and Allyn Anderson of Belvedere, SC and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Rickey, his father Arthur J. Weinkauf, sister-in-law Cindy Weinkauf, and father-in-law Robert A. Anderson.
