Todd was born on September 13, 1971, to Patrick W. Rockwood and Joanne Marie Hawkins Rockwood in Sisseton, SD. Todd moved to Waubay with his family when he was a Freshman in High School and graduated from Waubay High School in 1990. Throughout his adult life he resided in Sioux Falls, Watertown, and his hometown of Waubay. He worked in the concrete profession for over 16 years with various companies such as Penhall Construction, Burchatz Construction, and Jenson's Rock and Sand. In his younger years Todd worked at Dakota Sioux Casino, where he met and married Charnelle Gill. Together, Todd and Charnelle had one child, Larelle. Todd then met Karena Miller, and together they had one child, Glenisha. In 2002, Todd married Crystal Rencountre, and together they had two children, Tatianna and Tristan. He also worked as a Grain Bin laborer, Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Maintenance worker, Enemy Swim Day School and SWO Head Start bus driver, and at the Webster Scale. Todd's most recent job was working for the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Healthcare Center as a Maintenance worker for a little over 8 years. He loved to work with his hands and outdoors. He was no stranger to hard work. He was dedicated to any job that was brought his way. Todd had a heart of gold and helped anyone who asked him. No job was too small. He wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of when needed. Todd was a member of the St. James Church in Enemy Swim Lake, SD, and was a dedicated believer in God. He always said God heard his prayers from wherever he was. Todd married his wife Kristin (Campbell) Rockwood on January 1, 2013. They made their home in Waubay along with their children as one big blended family. Together they have 9 children, Larelle Miller, Glenisha Kohl, Tatianna Rencountre, Ariana Johnson, Tristan Rockwood, Sonny Marquardt, Parker Rockwood, Victor Rockwood, and Elli-Oot Rockwood. As well as six beautiful granddaughters Tia and Cynthia Campbell, Jasmine Miller, Everleigh One Road, and Harper and Harley Kohl. He also has 3 fur babies Bucc, Baby-Rue, and Oreo. Anyone who knew Todd knew he was a diehard Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. He was always telling someone "GO BUCS!" Even though not all his kids and their husbands were Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, he never left them out. He made sure everyone had their favorite team's jersey or some kind of football gear. He also liked to watch and bet on Nascar with friends during the off season. Todd loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to make jokes, go to concerts and made sure to attend PBR every year in Sioux Falls.  He was famous for his grilling skills and mouthwatering ribs. Todd would say, "I have no patience for anything, but I have patience for ribs."  Todd also loved his time with his daughter's. The love and laughter was always real. He would remind them how much he needed his little girl's. His dedication to his 5 son's Mustang sporting events throughout the years kept him busy as well. He would travel to every game near and far. His love for his children was by far the most important thing he wanted them to know. As his older children made their own families, he would say how proud he was of all their individual accomplishments. His love for his granddaughter's was immeasurable. You could see the joy in his face when they walked through the front door and called out for papa. Todd has been a fighter his whole life, and he fought all the way to the end. Todd passed away peacefully at his home on August 3, 2026, with family by his side.
