Funeral Service for Steven "Butch" Starr, Wambdi Hoksina "Eagle Boy", 61, of Red Lake, MN will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Sisseton Wahpeton Community Center, Agency Village, SD.  Butch Felix will be officiating and the drum will be Long Elk.  Pallbearers will be Eli Starr, Tom Bender, Jon McGraw, Travis Goodstar, Benji Thompson, Alan Mundy, Theron Thompson, John Shearen, Carlos Kitto, and Phil Mundy. Honorary pallbearers will be C.R. James, and Luis "Bubbaloo" Hernandez Cruz Jr., and all of Steven's Family, Friends, and Classmates. All night wake services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 and Thursday, October 4, 2018 both starting at 7:00P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Community Center.  Burial will be in the Lake Traverse Presbyterian Cemetery, Browns Valley, SD.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Steven "Butch" Starr, 61 of Red Lake, MN passed away on Monday, October 1 ^st , 2018 surrounded by his loved ones.  Born March 10 ^th , 1957 in Minneapolis, MN to Delores McGraw, he grew up in Browns Valley, MN and graduated from Browns Valley High School in 1975.  After moving to Minneapolis, he began both his family and his longtime career as a truck driver.  Butch had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, the Vikings, NASCAR, a cold beer, and the outdoors. He will always be remembered as an avid music lover known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor.

He is survived by his significant other Debbie Applebee; children Amelia, Franna, and Eli Starr; grandchildren Domenick, Lincoln, and Zoe; Jay, Andres, Luis, Brandon, Giovanni, Andrea, Andeas, and Mystic; great-grandchild Klani; siblings Sue Goodstar, Reva D'Nova, Jon McGraw, Crystal Shearen; nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Martha and Albert Starr; mother Delores McGraw, and brother Faron McGraw.
