All-night Wake Services for Sonia Gale White, 55 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Sunday and Monday at 7:00 P.M. at Lake Traverse District Center, Lake Traverse. Nippy Owen will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin White, Damian White Sr., Dustin Brant, Dominic White, Tracy Brant, and Tyson Brant Sr., Honorary pallbearers will be all of Sonia's Friends & Relatives.
Sonia was born on October 5, 1957 in Waukegan, Ill to Emery and Mary Ann (Wanna) White Sr. She grew up and attended school in Sisseton and Flandreau, SD. Following her education she was employed at Dakota Sioux Casino as a prep cook and she also worked at Teal's Market. She loved being a mother and taking care of her grandchildren. She liked watching Harry Potter movies. Sonia passed away on July 20, 2013 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Sonia is survived by ten children, Candy Dawn White of Bismarck, ND, Damian White Sr. of Sisseton, SD, Stacy Brant Jr. of Sisseton, SD, Dustin Brant of Lake Traverse, SD, Tracy Brant of Sisseton, SD, Tyson Brant Sr. of Sisseton, SD, Justin White of Sisseton, SD, Reegan Brant of Sisseton, SD, Nora Brant of Sisseton, SD and Sapphire Morales of Sisseton, SD; her father Emery White Sr. of Sisseton, SD; her mother, Mary Ann Wanna of Browns Valley, MN; five brothers, Emery White Jr. of Sisseton, SD, Allen A. White of Sisseton, SD, John Adams of Sisseton, SD, Sam Adams of Sisseton, SD and Jason Adams of Sisseton, SD; two sisters, Tammara DuMarce of Sisseton, SD and Della Adams of Seattle, WA; twenty one grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Sonia was preceded in death by one grandson, Tyson Brant Jr., one brother, Lawrence James White and one sister Lori White.
