Funeral Service for Silas Levi Johnson, 13, of Waubay, South Dakota will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim, SD with Valorie Augustson and Episcopal Lay Readers officiating. Pallbearers will be Anthony Michael Johnson, Lyndon Bluedog, R.J. Bissonette, Dominic Jaeger, Damien Jaeger, Jason Rencountre and Andrew Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Martinez, Jeffrey Martinez, Lincoln Kongi, Vincent Jaeger, Solon Hopkins, Johnson Silas Hopkins and Talan Buck Elk. Interment will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Waubay, South Dakota. There will be an allnight wake on Friday, January 1, 2021 starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim District, Enemy Swim, SD. M asks and social distancing are required. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Silas was born on May 13, 2007 at Sisseton, SD to Delano DuMarce and Selina Johnson. He grew up in Waubay, SD. He loved to help people. He cared for others more than himself. He loved music and hanging out with friends. He was so excited to become an uncle. He liked playing PS4 games and dancing, He loved finding new music. He like to dress nice. Silas died on December 26, 2020 at Webster, SD.

Silas is survived by his father Delano DuMarce of Veblen, SD; his mother Selina Johnson of Waubay, SD; his brother Anthony Michael Johnson and two sisters Aubryanna Hernandez and Honesty Johnson of Waubay, SD; Maternal grandmother Eileen Johnson; great grandmother Geraldine Rencountre, paternal grandmother Kathy DuMarce; great grandmother Joann Gill; aunts Lana Jaeger and Gail Jaeger, and Aunt Melanie Valentine.

Silas was preceded in death by his great grandfather Silas Levi Johnson; great great-grandmother Florence (Bluedog) Christenson; great grandfather Joakin Christenson; uncle Larry Rencountre; Great aunt Ellen Fisher; great uncle Carl Christenson; Michael Rencountre, Nathaniel Long and Jesse Rondell.
