Shirley Ann Winters, 79, of Browns Valley, MN passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Browns Valley Health Center in Browns Valley, MN.  Celebration of Life Service for Shirley Winters, 79, of Browns Valley, MN will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at the William Krensing American Legion Post in Browns Valley, MN. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, South Dakota is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Shirley Ann Krone was born on March 14, 1939 at Sisseton, SD to H.M. Walter and Anna Marie Martha (Gronau) Krone. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Sisseton, SD. Shirley was married to the love of her life, Ralph Torgerson in 1958. Three children were born to that union, Rodney, Gerry, and Sherry. Ralph passed away in 1961. In 1963 she was married to Ed Gonsoir, and Ronald, and Burton came from that union. She was divorced and in 1968 she was married to Arthur Winter and to this union Chelly was born. Shirley lived in Browns Valley, MN most of her life, where she tended bar at the Clover Leaf, the Legion Club, Krensings Bar, and the Liquor Store. She liked to fish, and loved Lake Powell, and loved spending time with family and friends. Shirley passed away on January 9, 2019 at the Browns Valley Health Center, Browns Valley, MN.

Shirley is survived by two sons, Gerry Torgerson of Huron, SD and Burton Gonsior of Browns Valley, MN, two daughters, Sherry Torgerson-Dykstra of Eagle, CO, and Chelly Lewandowski of Watertown, SD, and a brother LaVern and wife Shirley Krone of Isanti, MN and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Rodney Torgerson and Ronald Gonsior.
