Funeral Service for Shawn Nicholas Renville, 18 of New Effington, SD will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Buffalo Lake District Center, Eden, SD with Spiritual Leaders LaVern Blackthunder and Orville Looking Horse and Fillmore Simon CRE officiating. Drum Group will be Red Storm Singers and pianist will be Kay Bursheim. Pallbearers will be Sam Harwood, BJ Harwood, J.R. Renville, Michael Renville, Chase Renville, Wambli Brant, Chad Renville, Shilo Renville, Moses Renville, Gavin Wolfe, and Billy Cloud. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dallas LaCroix, Justin "Junzie" Gill, Jordan Gill, Kurt Desjarlait, Doug Desjarlait, Vance Thompson, Tracer Barse, Sterling Barse, Wallace Hosie, Ben Hosie, Dusty Cloud, Duane LaBelle, Cody Cloud and Jeremin Rodlund. Interment will be in the Buffalo Lake Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Eden, SD. All night Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at the Buffalo Lake District Center.

Shawn Renville was born to Nowell and Crystal Harwood Renville on May 12, 2000. He attended Westside School in Sisseton. Shawn went to Tiospa Zina Tribal School. He graduated from the 8 ^th grade. He started high school at Tiospa Zina. Shawn loved hanging out with his friends, playing basketball. He always had a smile for everyone. He had two special friends whom he called his sisters: Julie and Jade Wolfe. Shawn will be missed by many friends and relatives especially by his cat that he named Princess. Shawn loved his nieces and nephews especially Jesse James.

Whenever Shawn came to Sisseton, he always had a place to go, with his auntie Pam and cousins, Emma and Red Dawn. Shawn always liked to come to town to hang out with his friends, Dallas Palacio and Justin Gill, Jr. and many other friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Shawn is survived by his parents, Nowell and Crystal (Harwood) Renville of New Effington, SD; eight brothers, Sam Harwood of Sisseton, SD, BJ Harwood of Sisseton, SD, JR (Ashley) Renville of Old Agency, SD, Michael (April) Renville of New Effington, SD, Chase Renville of Sioux Falls, SD, Chad Renville of New Effington, SD, Wambli Brant of Summit, SD and Billy Cloud of Sica Hollow, SD; and one sister, Nicole Renville of New Effington, SD; paternal grandmother, Caroline (LaBelle) Renville of Browns Valley, MN; maternal grandmother Carole (King) Iron Moccasin of Sica Hollow, SD; six aunts, Colleen DuMarce of Sisseton, SD, Pamela Renville of Sisseton, SD, Elizabeth Hosie of Sica Hollow, SD, Darla King of Sisseton, SD, Darline Faye Sanchez of Moline, Il and Lahoma Kitto of Rosholt, SD; one uncle Felix Renville Jr. of Old Agency, SD and many nieces and nephews.

Shawn was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Felix Renville Sr. and maternal grandfather, William (Bill) Iron Moccasin.
