Sharon Ruth Sorensen passed away peacefully on July 2, 2023 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There will be a Memorial Service for Sharon, 66, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Saturday, July 15, at 1:00 P.M. at Cahill Funeral Chapel in Sisseton, South Dakota with Pastor Joshua Knudsen officiating. Interment will be at the Goodwill Cemetery in Sisseton, South Dakota.

Sharon was a beloved wife and a helpful person to everyone; always saying God bless you or wishing you a happy birthday. She worked at Cub Food in White Bear Township and loved singing happy birthday to her co-workers. Sharon also worked at Hardee's and served Kevin McHale twice at the drive-thru. She seen lumpy and Eddie Haskell at the Epcot center, sang at my dad's, my mom's, and my aunt's funeral, as well as singing with Pam Tillis in concert which she did very well at. Sharon was even on stage with Jim Nabors, he liked talking and singing to Sharon. She has seen Red Skelton and Bob Hope performances. While traveling around upper Midwest with Marie Osmond, she talked with Marie's son Stephen in western Iowa and parents on the sidewalk outside of Osmond Theater. Sharon enjoyed visiting with the young David Osmond after his concerts with the Osmond brothers 2nd generation band. Sharon and Karl went to the music man play in Hibbinh. She loved the music world. Growing up, she loved singing "Jesus Loves Me". She also loved diamond art, coloring books, making latch hook rugs, and movies. The Shirley Temple movies were her favorite. While attending a Twins game, she once got a Tony Oliva autograph. They led to her liking little house on the prairie shows. In her life, she has had many dogs. Peaches, their first dog, was a mid-size huskie. Then, they had a string of poodles; Barney, Tuffy, and another Barney. Tuffy mae, a peekineese poodle mix, who jumped out of the car in the Sears parking lot and ran around until someone caught her. Her ashes will be buried next to Sharon. Then comes Barney #3, she joined their family the year Sharon's mom passed. Tuffy #3, a larger size poodle mix, was the last furry companion to join the family. Sharon loved her many dogs they had over the years. She also loved bowling. Together, her and Karl bowled on a league team from 1987-1988 S.E.I and she was on a mixed league women's high series 580 champion. Once, she almost won on TV on a bowling for dollars program! She loved shopping for clothes and collecting Shirley Temple dolls. She had once found two large-size teddy bears that someone had tossed. Sharon loved to sing along to Christian music with Evie, Marie, and Pam. Sharon's health problems began when the winter months came.

Sharon is survived by her husband Karl Sorensen, her brother Gary (Sharon) Stuve, and her sister Carol (Jim) and kids: Alex, Andrew, and Aaron; aunts Janet Anderson and Mary Harmer; niece Michelle; kids: Ethan and Isaac; nephews Jason and Brad; Mahlon and Mildred Sorensen, Sam & Ella Sorensen, Andrew & Hannah Lewis, and Frank & Ellen Grimm.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Louise Stuve; uncle Dwight Stuve; aunts Phylis Green, Virginia Bonney, and Gwendolyn Pearson.
