Funeral Service for Sasha Jean Huddleston "Cancega yhua mani win" "Woman who walks with the drum", age 23, of Horace, North Dakota will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Filmore Simon CLP, John Cloud III, Levi Keoke and Clyde Kampeska officiating. Pianist will be Billy Kohl and Kay Bursheim. Pallbearers will be Dan Flying Hawk, KC Peters, Elijah LaCroix, Chris Almendarez, Nate Tweten and Travis Peters. Honorary Pallbearers will be Courtney Redwing, Lindsey LaCroix, Chelsey LaCroix, Heather Renville, Netta Renville, Nicky Kuske, Candy Almendarez, Val Keoke, Kim Coon, Jobie Peters, Rhoda Sherman, and All of Sasha's friends and family. Interment will be in the Mayasan Cemetery, Sisseton, South Dakota. There will be a wake on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Tribal Community Center. Sasha was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 17, 1989 Shalene (LaCroix) & Samuel Huddleston. She grew up in Texas and Moorhead, MN, where she went to school. She made her home in Horace, ND with her partner in life K.C. Peters and their "two children" Boo & Roxy, their two dogs. She loved spending time with her dogs & playing guitar hero, and just being a homebody. She worked at Wal-Mart and at the Cenex Station. Sasha passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 4, 2013 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Sasha is survived by her partner in life, K.C. Peters, her mother Shalene, her sister Dakota, her father Sam Huddleston, her great grandfather Richard "Duke" Wilson, her grandparents Sam & Goldie Flying Hawk and Darrell Decoteau, her uncle Dan and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Great grandma Jeanette Wilson, her aunt Peggy Redwing, Uncles Leroy and Louie LaCroix.
