Funeral Service for Sandra Rae Carl, 72, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Sisseton will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Sisseton, SD with Pat Schubert officiating. Organist will be Ollie Yost. Pallbearers will be Lee Nerison, Myles Larson, Dillion Kittleson, Chase Haynes, Skylar, Deven and Zachery Burgher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Douglas Carl, Wayne Carl, Kenny Olson, Darrel Kittleson, Troy Burgher, Rich Foster and all the rest of her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:30 till service time at the Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD. Interment will be in the New Effington Community Cemetery, New Effington, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Sandra passed away with family by her side at her home in Watertown on July 22, 2021. Sandra was born on January 13, 1949 in Sisseton, SD to Leonard Miles and Margaret May (Yeager) Carl. She graduated from Sisseton High School in 1967. After Sandra graduated she started in babysitting. Sandra helped raise many kids for others. She helped raise all of her nephews, nieces, great, and great-great nephews and nieces. Sandra did do a few other jobs like working at the Head start in Sisseton and she worked at her sister's café called Chef's Café as a cook. Sandra moved to Watertown, SD in 1986. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, cross-words, and coloring. There are a lot of people who know her by her famous cooking and baking.

Sandra is survived by her sisters Marlene Carl and Karen Nerison, her brothers Douglas and Wayne Carl. Sister-in-law, Betty Lou Carl. Her nieces Sally Olson, Janis (Darrel) Kittleson, Valerie (Troy) Burgher, Amanda (Rich) Foster and her nephews Kenny Olson and Lee (Dakota) Nerison. Great Nephews Myles Larson, Dylan (Bridget Bauer) Altfillisch, Skylar, Deven, and Zachery Burgher, Wyatt Nerison, Dillion (Kelbi) Kittelson. Her great nieces Kelsey (Chase) Haynes, Tasha Altfillisch and Sage Nerison. Her great great nephew Bentley Altifillisch and Jaxson Johnson. Great Great nieces Bayleigh Nerison, Charolette Schweer, Raelyne and Emma Kittleson and Teagan Johnson. Many other nephews and nieces.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Margaret Carl, brothers Don and Claude Carl, sister Darlene Olson. Brother-in-laws Terry Nerison and Gordon Olson and sister-in-law Betty Gayle Carl, Beverly Carl and Esther Carl.
