Rosemarie "Rose"? Fitz, 67, of Cresco, died on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. She was the loving wife of 49 years to James "Jim"? Fitz.

Born in Fulda Germany, she was the daughter of the late Hermann and Margareta (Flori) Busse.

She was a devoted member of the Church of St. Bernadette in Canadensis since 1995, where she was also a member of the Lady's Guild. Rose enjoyed being a member of the Pocono Mountain Classic Car club, helping Jim restore, and showing off their cars. She also had an incredible love for animals and nature, which was evident in her immaculate flower gardens.

In addition to her husband Jim, she is also survived by two sons: Herman J. Fitz and his wife Pamela of Bushkill, James J. Fitz and his wife Judith of Atlanta, GA; and four grandchildren: Katja, Mackenna, Eric and Elena Fitz.

There will be a viewing on Sunday, October 2 from 2-5 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390, Cresco. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial on Monday, October 3 at 10 am at the Church of St. Bernadette, route 390 in Canadensis. There will also be a short service on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Cahill Funeral Chapel in Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Fr. Tony Dummer officiating with music by Cindy Marohl and Sandi Jaspers. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Sisseton, South Dakota. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of local arrangements.
