Funeral service for RoseAnn (Sandy) Wanna-Torres, 74 of Alexandria, MN will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, Sisseton, SD with the Fr. Jerry Ranek officiating. Pallbearers will be Leo Wanna III, Xavier Richardson, Michael Lee Herrera, Jason Wanna, Julian Michael Nuhfer, Jordan Dawson, Christopher Wanna, and Jeronimo Mercado.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Patricia Wanna, Anthony Wanna, Stacey Wanna, Jacob Fredrick, Mary Helen, Uncle Peter, and all of the Thompson Women. Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Hall. Interment will be at the St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery, Veblen, SD. Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

RoseAnn Wanna-Torres (Sandy) at the age of 74, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017 in Alexandria, MN; originally from St. Paul, MN. She was born in Bird Island, MN on January 22, 1943 to Leo Gilbert Wanna and Mary Zapata. She was the Eldest of 11 Brothers and Sisters.

She is survived by her husband Angel Torres; siblings (sister) Patricia Wanna; (brother) Anthony Wanna; (children) Chris (Lori), Julian (Kelly), Antoinette (Juan), Linda (Glen), Joseph (Shelly), Sandra (Jestin); also survived by twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Crespin Herrera and siblings

Buster, Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Agnes, Ramona, Joseph, and Howard.
