Ronald Gene Johnson was born on August 22, 1943 in Sisseton, South Dakota. Ron owned and operated the Brothers Three Super Club in Sisseton, SD for ten years prior to moving to the Twin Cities. He then made a career as an over-the-road truck driver. He also held his private pilot's license. Ron died on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Johnson and Martha (Wolff) Johnson-Lewis and his sister, Elaine Aadland. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Paulette; daughter, Amanda Rydell; son Colt Johnson; four brothers, Wayne (Patty) Johnson, Harold Johnson, Stanley Johnson and Rodney (Linda) Johnson; brother-in-law, Percy Aadland; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

An Evening Prayer Service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, July 22nd at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 – 11th Street SE, Forest Lake, Minnesota with visitation beginning at 5 PM until the time of service.

Funeral services for Ron will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 24th at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Sisseton, South Dakota with The Rev. Jeff Kalb officiating. Organist will be Clarice Arbach with special music by Pat and Haley Thiel and Alex Rydell. Pallbearers will be Heath and Sam Rydell, Mike Aadland, Jacob, Dean, and Steve Johnson. There will be visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be held in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, South Dakota. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of local arrangements.
