Funeral Service for Rodney Lloyd Crawford, 56, of Watertown, South Dakota will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. There will be Wake Services on Sunday, September 1, 2024, and Monday, September 2, 2024, starting at 7:00 P.M. and an All-Night Wake on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, also starting at 7:00 P.M. all at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. Officiating will be CRE Gerald Heminger Jr. The pianist will be Samantha Sellers. Pall Bearers will be Henry Williams Jr., Brian Crawford, Nico Sartwell, Micah Sellers, Felix Bearhill, Frederick Bearhill, Robert Keoke and Wayne Heron. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Crawford, Leslie King, and Henry Williams Sr. Burial will be in the Buffalo Lake Presbyterian Cemetery, Eden, South Dakota. Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Rodney Lloyd Crawford was born on October 23, 1967, in Minneapolis, MN to Floyd Layton and Ramona (Littlevoice) Crawford. He attended Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis. He grew up on the Northside of Minneapolis. He enlisted in the United States Army from February 1985 to June 1985. He was a Christian He was united in marriage to Linda Crawford and then Jolene Crawford. He was a Golden Glove Boxer at Gerry Gamble Boys Club. His favorite football team was the Minnesota Vikings. Rodney was a plumber, electrician, tree trimmer and a roofer. Rodney passed away on August 26, 2024, in Watertown, South Dakota.
Rodney is survived by his wife Jolene Crawford; children Shalene (Allen) Stone, Rochelle Crawford, Nikki Crawford, and step-children Dojon Peake, Shavon Peake and Justine Peake all of Tuolume, California; one brother Anthony (Pam) Crawford of Minneapolis, MN, 6 grandchildren, Shayanne Coffeman, Elijah Ramos, Arielle Ramos, Asher Floyd, Luciana Perez and Brielle Perez and many nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Ramona (Littlevoice) Crawford Sr.; a brother Floyd Layton Crawford Jr.; a sister Florinda Crawford; two children Tyler Crawford and Amanda Crawford.
