Funeral Service for Rodger Dion Strutz, 56, of St. Cloud, MN will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim, SD with Fr. Conrad Ciesel, Deacon Bitsey Ciesel, and the St. James Episcopal Lay Readers officiating. Pallbearers will be Kenny Seaboy Jr., Donnie Bury, Todd Rockwood, Caleb Strutz, Corwin Bluedog, and Jr. Irish. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Hansen, Ryan Lagergren, Dakota Housman, Farlin Barse, Donovan Burns, Siouxzie Bury, Vern Rouillard Sr., Ray Rouillard, Mike Tiggelaar, and Justin Kongi. Interment will be in the St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim, SD. All Night Wake Service will be Wednesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 5, at 7:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Rodger was born on June 8, 1963 in Waubay, SD in the family house. He attended school in Waubay and graduated high school. Rodger severed in the United States Army for a short time. He then traveled the country from coast to coast doing whatever adventures came to mind. Lizette introduced Rodger to Staci Tiggelaar in 2007. The couple then married on May 11, 2012. The couple lived in the South Dakota area for awhile before relocating to St. Cloud, MN so Rodger could start his employment with Regal Contractors. Rodger was a Dallas Cowboys fan; he also enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, rodeos, and animals of all sorts. Rodger fought a very hard fight for two months with a battle against cancer. Rodger passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Rodger is survived by his wife Staci; step children Mike Tiggelaar, Mackenzie Pies, Rylee Pies, and Carson Pies; brother Jim (Liberty) Strutz Sr., and several half-siblings; several grandchildren; nieces Lizette Strutz, , Lacey Strutz, Jaylene Strutz, Ashlynn Strutz, Sydney Strutz, and several other nieces; nephews Caleb "Scrub" Strutz, Alex Provost, Jim (Kayla) Strutz Jr., Thomas "TJ" Strutz and several other nephews and cousins

Rodger was preceded in death by his parents Ted Strutz and Charlotte Strutz.
