Funeral Service for Roberta Y Renville-Trevino, 84, of Peever, SD will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Pastor Nippy Owen officiating. The pianist will be Billy Kohl. Pallbearers will be Bryan Grimmer, Josiah Grimmer, Eric Benson, Nova Yammerino, Delayno Trevino and Timothy Torres. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Roberta's Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Granddaughter and SWC Mustang Men's Basketball Team. There will be visitation on Saturday, at the Tribal Community Center from 10:00 A.M. to service time. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Roberta Y Renville-Trevino, 84, of Peever passed away surrounded by family at Tekakwitha Nursing Home on the 27th of February 2024. Roberta was born to Robert and Blossom (Keoke) Renville on February 14, 1940. Roberta had many siblings: Kenneth, Mandis, Florestine, Naomi, Adrienne, Chyrel, and Bryon. Although Roberta did not get her high school diploma, she received her GED and later in life went on to attend LATI and received her certificate in Dietary Management. Roberta had married Adolfo Trevino at an early age and out of this union they had three children: Allen, Juanita and Wayde. After separating from Adolfo she met Cody Enoch and in that relationship, they had Luciana.  Roberta also raised a granddaughter, Mandy, whom she considered a daughter. Roberta attended Assembly of God and later attended Living Word both of Sisseton. She was an avid reader of the written word. Roberta worked for many entities. In her younger years she worked on farms in the Fargo/Moorhead area picking vegetables. She would often talk about her mom cooking meals with whatever her Papa brought home. Picking cotton in Texas with her husband and later working for a poultry farm out of Watertown where she also drove their bus to pick up Sisseton and surrounding areas workers. She also worked for Sisseton School Districts Title V program, Dakota Pride as their dietary manager and Sisseton Wahpeton College as the bookstore assistant. Her hobbies were reading, mostly Louis L'Amour. Challenging herself with 500+ puzzles. If she was not watching her westerns, she was playing cards with family. She was the queen of Nuts. But she also very much enjoyed Flinch and Phase 10. You could also catch her watching the Minnesota Twins and SWC Mustang Basketball.

Roberta is survived by her children: Allen Trevino of San Antonio TX; Juanita Trevino of Sisseton SD; Wayde (Amy) Trevino of Agency Village SD; Luciana Torres of Peever SD; Mandy (Bryan) Grimmer of Sisseton SD. Sisters; Florestine (Owen Dean) Kiyukanpi of Peever SD; Chyrel DeCoteau of Peever SD. And 12 Grand Children, 30 Great-Grand Children and one Great-Great Granddaughter.

Roberta is preceded in death by her husband Adolfo Trevino; her parents Robert and Blossom Renville; Siblings; Kenneth Renville, Merle Renville (infant), Mandis Renville, Naomi Lufkins, Adrienne Ree and Bryon Renville and two great grandsons Kai Benson and Thomas Grimmer.
