She was baptized in the Catholic church of St. Mary's in Wahpeton, ND. Rebecca spent her younger years with her mother, Elnora, living and attending elementary school in Macy, NE on the Umonhon reservation. In her high school years, she attended Minot High School while living in Minot, ND with her father Patrick Wilkie Jr. and stepmother LeAnne Wilkie. Rebecca received her GED in Wahpeton, ND.
