Memorial service for Ray Moen, 70, of Sisseton, SD will be Saturday May 1,2021 at 2 P.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD. There will be visitation 1 hour prior to service. Social distancing required and masks appreciated.

Ray passed away at he the Tekakwitha Living Center in Sisseton, SD, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

Ray was born September 3, 1950 at Sisseton, SD to Midel and Josephine (Grinde) Moen. Ray attended school in Sisseton until his graduation in 1968. After graduation he served his country by joining the United States Army. After his return from Vietnam, Ray met Darlene Jensen and they married on July 26, 1975. Ray and Darlene had a daughter Jennifer Moen August 5, 1980. Ray had a plethora of jobs, mechanic with the Sisseton School District, truck driver for multiple companies including Moen's Grain & Livestock. Ray started driving semi for his brother Clayton

at the ripe old age of 12. Rays truck driving ended up taking him all across the Country and into Canada. Ray loved to race whether it be horses, snowmobiles for the Arctic Cat race team, drag racing his beloved Dodge Dart or his old police car down the interstate against his nephew. He even rode for the Pony Express with the Wilmot Saddle Club. In his spare time he enjoyed helping friends and family with odd jobs, working on vehicles, watching westerns, and spending time with his Friends Keith Kelly and Jim Yammerino. Ray enjoyed going on Canadian fishing trips, and deer hunting in the Lazy-boy on Maynard's hill. Rays most prized past time was spending time with his grandchildren. Ray passed away in his sleep Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD.

Ray is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Dan); three grandchildren, Andrew, Jade,and Damion; three brothers, Maynard (Sharon), Arden (Carol) and Larry (Marge) of South Dakota; a sister, Elaine of Minnesota; and good friend Larry Hagg.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clayton and Edward, a sister Connie, niece Liesha, and his best friends Keith Kelly and Jim Yammerino.
