Funeral Service for Quentin (Tiners) Vine Desjarlait, 19 of Sisseton, SD, will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tribal Community Center, Agency village, SD. with Rev. Vern Donnell and Tim White officiating. Pianist will be Rachel Sine and the Drum Group will be Cook Boys. Pallbearers will be Curt Desjarlait, Darrell C. DeMarrias, Vance Thompson, Spencer Julius, Jess Lone Fight, Cody Gill, Dylan DeMarrias, Levi DuMarce III, Leighton (Punchy) Hill and Nick Tchida. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jordan Gill, Tihdo Gill, Justin Gill, Jr., Hope DeMarrias, William Johnson, Brandi Desjarlait, Tara Lake, David Drum, Dakota Desjarlait, LaDonna Haug, Tyson (Biggie) Lufkins, Montana Keoke, Robert Irizarry, Jedd Desjarlait, Christian Hickman, Brandon (Goodie) Goodteacher, and all of his friends and relatives. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be a wake service on Thursday, June 09, 2011 at 7:00 PM and an all-night wake on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD.
Quentin (Tiners) Vine Desjarlait was born on May 27, 1992 in Sisseton, SD to Andrea Gill and Curt J. Desjarlait. He attended school at Tiospa Zina Tribal School and was active in cross country, boxing, and drawing. He enjoyed listening to his music, playing video games, hanging out with his friends, family and spending time with his special uncle Galen. Tiners was a simple man, who loved to make people laugh and touched all that knew him. Quentin passed away on June 8, 2011 at his home in Sisseton, SD.
Quentin is survived by his parents, Andrea Gill of Sisseton, SD and Curt J. Desjarlait of Red Lake, MN; siblings, Doug and Amy Desjarlait of Sisseton, SD, Curt Desjarlait of Sisseton, SD, Brett Johnson of Sisseton, SD and Niiwin Desjarlait of Red Lake, MN; grandparents, Janice Gill of Sisseton, SD, Darrell DeMarrias of Enemy Swim, Lora Desjarlait of St. Paul, MN and Curtis Crow of Red Lake, MN; Uncles' and Auntie's, Derek DeMarrias, Galen DeMarrias, Justin Gill, Jordan and Ashley Gill, Dallas LaCroix, Lyndsey and AJ Renville, Roselee Desjarlait, Toursa Desjarlait, and Crystal Desjarlait Hickman, and niece and nephew Allee and Dawson Desjarlait.
Quentin was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Don and Emily Gill and his paternal great grandfather, Simon Desjarlait, and his nephew, Damien Desjarlait.
