Funeral Mass for Peter Jerome LaFromboise, 45 of Peever, SD will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Fr. Andy Knop, OMI Celebrant. Organist will be Billy Kohl and music provided by Butch Felix. Pallbearers will be Jason LaFromboise, Jerwyn Rodlund, Mike Lureen, Winfield Thompson Jr., Justin Cloud, Sylvanus Flute Jr., Lyndon Haug, John Varnes and James Crawford III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stacey Flute, Saville Flute, Sylvan Flute, Varden Hopkins, Derek Blackcoon, Caeton LaFromboise, Courtland LaFromboise, Howard Bartels Jr., Harley Christopherson, Benjamin Thompson, Arnie LaFromboise, and Stephanie Williams. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery, Veblen, South Dakota. The wake services will be held at St. Catherine's Hall, Sisseton, SD on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. and Monday, January 18, 2010 an all night wake at 7:00 P.M. Peter was born on November 25, 1964 in Sisseton, SD to Jonah "Poncho" and Regina (Flute) LaFromboise. He attended school at Sisseton, he further his education at Sisseton Wahpeton Community College graduating with a degree of associate of applied science and plumbing. Peter worked at Dakota Sioux and Dakota Connection as a dealer. In 2003 he moved to Wyoming and worked at Per Tech Technology. Peter moved back to Peever area in 2009 when he became ill. He enjoyed fishing, fixing things, mechanic work, and playing bingo and was a Viking fan. Peter passed away on January 15, 2010 at this home Peever, SD.
Peter is survive by three children, Adam LaFromboise of Springfield, SD, Tory LaFromboise of Enemy Swim, SD, and Peter LaFromboise Jr. of Sisseton, SD; one grandson Paxton LaFromboise of Enemy Swim, SD; one sister, Sharon Flute of Sisseton, SD; one adopted sister, Molly Hopkins of Sisseton, SD and one adopted brother, Winfield Thompson Jr.; and many nieces, nephews and extended grandchildren.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Alicia Ann LaFromboise, one brother, Kevin LaFromboise; two sisters, Roseann LaFromboise and Ann LaFromboise; his maternal and paternal grandparents.
