Memorial Service for Patty "Marks" Kalkowski, 71, of Barker Hill, SD will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at the Buffalo Lake District Center, Eden, SD. Inurnment will be in the Kennard Cemetery, Kennard, NE at a later date. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Patricia Joyce Marks was born on January 27, 1948 in Sisseton, SD to Elmer Bahr and Ida Marks. She grew up in Veblen and attended school in Wahpeton and Flandreau. Following her education she attended beauty school in Sioux Falls, SD.

She worked for many years for a carnival, and a Campbell soup factory. She was united in marriage to Mike Kalkowski on August 1, 1977 and the couple started Mike's Excavating business. Mike passed away on August 21, 2010. Patricia loved to fish, loved her dogs, and family visits. She loved to travel. Patricia passed away on August 7, 2019 at her home in Barker Hill.

Patricia is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her siblings, Sylvan White, Robert White Sr., and Martha King.
