Patricia Eileen LaFontaine was born on September 29, 1970 in Sisseton, SD to Clifford LaFontaine Jr. and Diane Renville. Trisha attended school in Sisseton graduating in 1988. She was currently attending Mount Marty College in Watertown. Trisha was an excellent gymnast all four years of high school and went on to state. Her daughter Jalyn is following in her footsteps. She worked at Dakota Sioux as a Poker and Blackjack dealer. She loved to cook, travel and gamble. She loved watching the food channel network.
Our beloved mother loved her children with all of her heart. She always expressed how proud she was of all of our accomplishments and encouraged us to follow our dreams. She enjoyed spending time with us going to the lake, swimming and feeding the geese, shopping, cooking our favorite foods and staying up late to watch scary movies. She cherished the times she was able to spend with all of her children, Cherrelle, Jalyn, Tyrus, and her granddaughter Kynleigh. She loved spending as much time as possible with her granddaughter giving her pickles and bananas, Kynleigh's favorite. Our mother always went out of her way to make us happy and she will forever be in our hearts. We love you and miss you, mom. Trisha passed away after a short illness on February 9, 2015 at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.
Patricia is survived by her father, Clifford "Coke" and wife, Lesley LaFontaine of Sisseton, SD and her mother, Diane Renville of Sioux Falls, SD; three children, Cherrelle Goodsell of Sisseton, SD, Jalyn Carrico and Tyrus Carrico of Gilbert, AZ; one granddaughter, Kynleigh Grace Max of Sisseton, SD; four brothers, Jason LaFontaine of Agency Village, SD, Adam LaFontaine Sr. of Sisseton, SD, Nolan Renville of Sioux Falls, SD and Will Renville of Sioux Falls, SD; three sisters, Angela LaFontaine of Meridian, CT, Dawne DuShane of Tahlequah OK, and Stormee Blue of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
