Wake Service for Nicodemus David Seaboy, (Danny) Inkpa Duta"Red Tip" 74 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 7:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Community College auditorium, Agency Village, SD with Traditional Service by Rev. Clifford Canku, CRE John Cloud III, Chaske Hill and Dennis Gill. Special music by Brian Akipa. Drum group will be Friends and Relatives of Wahpekute. Pallbearers will be Eric Jens, Shorty Crawford, Tyson Seaboy, Jeremy Taylor, Andy Vig, Rick Bertsch and Wambdi Seaboy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cozad singers, Dakota Hotain, Arlee Neskahi, Johnathan Windy Boy, Sundance Family, LaDonna Allard, Enemy Swim staff, All Danny's students from TZ, UTTC, Enemy Swim and SMSC, Kenny Pratt, Adam Crooks, Bill Rudnicki, Amy McArdell and

Sherry Johnson. Interment will be in the Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota Nation Burial Grounds, Sisseton, SD. at a later date. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Nicodemus David Seaboy (Danny), Inkpa Duta"Red Tip" 74, of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate and White Earth Ojibwe Nation passed away on December 8, 2020.

He was born in Sisseton, South Dakota on July 24, 1946.  He attended college and graduated with a bachelors in accounting.Danny was a humble man who loved his wife, children, and family dearly.  His greatest accomplishments were his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  He traveled throughout the United States and Canada on the powwow trail and made many hunka relatives and friends. He loved to sing, dance and MC. He was an accomplished Eyapaha and song composer and was so proud of the Wahpekute name. He was a spiritual leader for his people, and was one of the original founders of the Long Hollow Wiwang Waci. "Dakota Dan" taught many students who he cared for deeply through his love of Dakota language, traditions, and history. In his lifetime he had the privilege to work with many many students through different schools and organizations such as Tiospa Zina Tribal School, UTTC, UND, Enemy Swim Day School, and SMSC.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Patsey Seaboy, brothers David Seaboy of Summit SD, Samuel Seaboy (Donna) of Mandan ND, and sister Geneva Seaboy Sisseton SD, children Lorne "Luke" Walking Hawk (Kim) of Mandaree ND, Nicodemus Cody Seaboy (Sonya) of Sisseton SD, Alfred Seaboy (Laura) of Saint Louis Park MN, Jared Seaboy (Kelcey) of Shakopee MN, and Cedar Jacome (Jason) of Stanley ND. In 1966 he married Fern Whitebreast and from this union thay had Danny Seaboy (Delveen) of Bismarck ND, Londel Seaboy of Sisseton SD, Aimee Seaboy of Anadarko OK, Jenny Seaboy of Tama IA, Nicole Aguilar (Eduardo) of Oklahoma City OK. Later they divorced. He had four other children, Chuck Alcott of Winslow, AZ, Sophia Renville of Rapid City, SD, Craig Spider (Jacquelyn) of Sisseton SD, and Deeanne Driver (Bucky) of Mandaree ND and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Didymus Seaboy, Florence (Gagnon) Seaboy, three brothers, Didymus Seaboy Jr.., Dayton Seaboy and Joseph Seaboy; and two five sisters, Exzilda Jane, Exzilda Mary, Viva, Dorothy and Jeanette.
