Funeral Service for Narcisse Wayne Lufkins, Hampa pe chupi " He likes his Moccasin Game", 80, of Tokio, ND will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Pastor Jim Bird and Filmore Simon officiating. Drum Group will be Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Singers. Pallbearers will be Dave Flute, Alex Garman, Luke Hanson, Kello Brown, Travis Brown, Jason Brown, Jeremy Brown, Weston Hill, Matthew DuMarce, Mitchell Lufkins, Terry Haug Jr. and Judd Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be All Moccasin Players and all Narcisse's Family & Friends. Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be all night wakes on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 and Thursday, June 9, 2022 starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Narcisse was born on November 10 ^th , 1941, to George and Ida (Goodbird) Lufkins, Jr. He was the third oldest from a family of fourteen. Narcisse and His Brother Stanley have the same birthdays. In his elementary years, he went to North Bryant Township country school. He also attended Long Hollow day school. His sister, Marcella told the story of when the little boys from Long Hollow would play in the mud; Narcisse was the only light skinned boy out there. Back then, they called him, "Tarzan". As an adult, Narcisse liked to hitchhike and travel on trains. He went far and wide, seen many things. In his later life he especially liked the casinos. He was an avid moccasin player. Many people knew him from these games. His Indian name, "Hampa pe cupi", "He likes his moccasin game", is very appropriate. Narcisse had three daughters and from them he had "ota" grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. We are thankful to Addlore (Joanna) Johnson for taking care of Grandpa Narcisse during his last days. Narcisse is survived by his daughters Debbie Crosson of Maine and Nanette Stoldt of Moorhead, MN; sisters Marcella Haug of Sisseton, SD, Dennis Lufkins of Sioux Falls, SD, Margaret Lufkins of Minneapolis, MN and Georgia (Eva) Lufkins of Denver, Co, and his brother Stanley Lufkins of Wilmot, SD, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren. and great grandchildren.

Narcisse was preceded in death by his parents George and Ida Lufkins Jr., his daughter Janet King Lufkins; sisters, Elverna Lufkins, Kathleen "Beana" Bird, Leona Lufkins, Georgianna Lufkins, Faith Lufkins and Lorna Lufkins; his brothers Rodney Lufkins and Vernell Lufkins; his niece Lisa Haug; great-granddaughter Reegan Hanson and great-grandson Sabastian Hanson.
