Memorial Service for Naomi Nancy Keeble, 94, of Sisseton, South Dakota will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Sisseton, SD.
Naomi Nancy Keeble (Gill) was born on April 15,1918 in rural Sisseton to Jennie Bear and Matthew Gill and died peacefully at her home on November 18, 2012. She is survived by her children Richard Keeble Jr. (Dedria), Karen Brown (Duane), Dennis Keeble and Jennifer Bendickson (Sam). She is survived by 17 grandchildren: Christine, Duane, Melissa, Megan, Meisha, Ryan, Kimberly, Tamera, Danielle, Thaddeus, Eric, Shelby, Tabetha, Darren, Noel, Sampson and Wayne (Joe); 45 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Richard, grandsons Danen and Corey, her parents and six brothers and four sisters. Naomi was raised in rural Sisseton and later by Enemy Swim Lake. She attended boarding school in Rapid City and Pipestone. Naomi was united in marriage to Richard Keeble Sr on February 18, 1942 at Enemy Swim. She worked at Landsbergers for many years and later worked as a Community Health Representative for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate. She enjoyed many hobbies such as crossword puzzles, sewing, needle crafts and often beat her grandchildren at cards and scrabble. She made a dedication to Jehovah her God in 1972 and remained faithful in her service to him until her death. The heritage she left was the manner in which she lived her life as a Christian and in how she treated others whether it was family or stranger.
