Funeral Service for Matthew Bushy will be Wednesday April 21, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD.  There will be an all night service starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD Tuesday, April 20, 2021.  Matthew passed away on April 12,2021.

Matthew Joseph Bushy, age 35, began his journey to the spirit world on April 12th, 2021. Matt was born on September 13th, 1985 alongside his twin brother Tyler Giles in Fargo ND to Patty LaCroix and Jeffrey Giles. Shortly after his arrival on earth he moved to Alma Michigan where he was raised with love and respect by his beloved mom and pops, Sharon and Bill Bushy.

Matt attended grade school and high school in Ithaca Michigan. It was during this time where he met numerous lifelong friends and enjoyed playing numerous sports including basketball, baseball and golf. Matt was always the center of attention and enjoyed being around his friends and family.

Matt became a father to 3 precious children. After the passing of his first son, Gavin, during infancy, Matt cherished every moment with his children. He looked forward to the time he got to spend with them. His two children, Jayden (11), and Avery (13) meant the world to him and he was proud to show them off whenever he got the chance. He spent many long hours working to support his children and attempted to give them the best he could offer. There was never a day that he didn't think, miss or talk to them.

Matt became an uncle to 2 nieces, Justice and Nayelia and 1 nephew, Rondon during his short time here on earth. Like his children, he adored his family and loved being an uncle.

Matt was larger than life itself. He had a magnetic attitude that drew people near him. He knew how to connect with people and all who knew him couldn't help but love him. He always had the attitude that he was capable of anything. He knew what he wanted and there was nothing that could stop him once he had his mind set. The fire in his spirit was infectious and the love in heart built bridges across families. He loved his family and friends and most of all his children.

Matt will be reunited with his family that has passed on to the spirit world including his first child, Gavin Bushy, his pops, Bill Bushy, maternal grandmother Jeanette LaCroix (Wilson), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives

Matt will be missed everyday by his two children, Jayden Berg (11) and Avery Bushy (13), two Brothers, Tyler (Shalane) Giles, Brandon Giles, and 1 sister, Lindsey LaCroix, his mothers Sharon Bushy and Patty (Pat) LaCroix , his father Jeffrey Giles, his nieces, Justice and Nayelia and one nephew Rondon as well as numerous friends and family. Those that knew Matt, if even just for a moment, lost a shining light in their lives. He will forever be missed.
