Funeral Service for Mary Ann Solberg, 58 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. LeRoy Boender officiating. Organist will be Estelle Person and soloist will be Cindy Marohl. Pallbearers will be Howard LaMee, Kevin Wegehaupt, Jim Janisch, Dennis Hutchins, Dustin Magnuson and Pat Karst. Honorary Pallbearers will be All of Mary's Grandchildren, Family, Friends, Hannah Hutchins, Ruth Munro, Larry Swafford, Becky Balvin, and the youth work groups. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be visitation on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Cahill Funeral Chapel from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with family present from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Mary Ann Janisch was born on September 21, 1958 in Sisseton, SD to Alphonse "Boots" and Bonnie (Fonder) Janisch. She grew up and attended country school and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1976. Following her education Mary was united in marriage to Keith Solberg on September 19, 1975 in Sisseton, SD. She worked at Chefs Cafe for her parents. She had a home daycare for a time and then she cooked at Sisseton High School before going to work at Dacotah Inc. When Dacotah Inc. shut down she started her own cleaning business with Ruth Munro. They cleaned houses and businesses in Sisseton until the time of her death. Mary liked to sew, embroider, she enjoyed cooking; baking, and she liked to give her creations away. She also enjoyed going to the casinos. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her horses. She also liked to help other people and to visit. Mary passed away on November 5, 2016 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Mary is survived by her three children, Lynn and Holly Solberg of Watertown, SD, Lee and Kate Solberg of Sisseton, SD and Lisa and Fred Monson of Sisseton, SD; one sister, Marsha and Pat Karst of Pierre, SD; six grandchildren, Dillon, Andrew, Tyler, Jacob of Sisseton, SD, Jaxon and Nora of Watertown, SD; and one brother Mark and wife Karla Janisch of Britton, SD; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Lonnie and one brother Michael.
