Obituary

Memorial Service for Marcus David Evans, 49 of Waubay, SD will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim with Rev. Fr. Charles Chan and Rev. Fr. Conrad Ciesel officiating. Urn Bearer will be Eleanor Sherman. Honorary Urn bearers will be All of Marcus' Friends, Relatives and members of The Search Party. Inurnment will be in the St. James' Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim, SD. Memorial Wake Service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Marcus David Evans was born on January 3, 1967 at Sisseton, SD to Earl E. and Agatha (Johnson) Evans. Marcus worked at various jobs during his lifetime. He was also in the Navy for a short period of time before receiving a medical discharge. Marcus received a certificate from Trapper Creek Job Corp for office management which was a very big accomplishment in his life. He liked to watch sports and collect sports memorabilia. He liked to fish when he was young. He also enjoyed pro wrestling, spending time with family and friends and liked to travel. Marcus went missing on December 2, 2016 in Ortley, SD and his body was found on February 18, 2017 after an extensive search. The family would like to thank all members who helped in the search and investigation.

Marcus is survived by his father, Earl Evans of Waubay, SD; one sister, Eleanor Sherman of Watertown, SD; and one brother, Tommy Evans of Watertown, SD.

Marcus was preceded in death by his mother, maternal and paternal grandparents, and his wife Bonnie.
