Funeral Service for Madeline Patricia Hisgun, 70, of Peever, SD will be held on Tuesday, October 18 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Old Agency District Center, Agency Village, SD with Fr. Conrad Ciesel officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jerome Cook Jr., Eric Hisgun, Chris Feather, Travis Thompson, Randy Hisgun Jr., and Michael Madigan.   Wake Service will be held at the Old Agency District Center, Agency Village, SD at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 16, 2022 and an All Night Wake Service on Monday, October 17, 2022 starting at 7:00 P.M.  Interment will be in the St. Mary's Episcopal Cemetery, Agency Village, SD.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Madeline was born on April 29, 1952 at Sisseton, SD to Everett and Pheobe (Cloud) Hisgun. During her youth she went to Wahpeton Indian School through the 8 ^th grade. She moved back to the Sisseton Area and after having Kenneth and Faustine she moved to Minneapolis, MN.  She moved back to the Peever area in 2016.  She married Michael Dodson on October 11, 2022 at Sisseton, SD. She was a homemaker her entire life.  She enjoyed sewing, doing bead work, and making her own clothes.  She loved her grandchildren and her cats.

Madeline passed away on October 13, 2022 at her home in Peever, SD.

Madeline is survived by her husband, Michael Dodson; her children Kenneth (Josie) DeCoteau Jr., Faustine (Jerome Cook Jr.) Hisgun, Cary Getzalaff, Tova Mae Getzalaff; Gary Hisgun, John Davey Jr., William Johnson, Michael (Samatha) Dodson Jr. and Shannon Dodson; brothers Duane Hisgun and Marvin Hisgun Sr.; and many grandchildren.

Madeline was preceded in death by her parents Everett & Phoebe Hisgun; brother Randy Hisgun Sr. and a sister Yvonne (Hisgun) Keeble.
