Funeral service for Louis "Louie" Robert Buck Elk, 37, of Waubay, South Dakota will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim, SD with Episcopal Lay Readers, Valarie Augustson and Amos Roberts officiating. Pallbearers will be Arthur Irish, Darius Bury, Talan Tulowetzke, Lance Keeble, Elijah Buck Elk, Jayson Gill, Tyrell Keeble, and Michael Thiel.. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Nieces and Nephew Liliana, Tianna, Talan, Jayson and Jaylene and Family and Friends. Interment will be in the Keeble Family Cemetery, Grenville, SD.

Louis was born on November 27, 1982 at Sisseton, South Dakota to Lewis W. Buck Elk and Kathleen C. Keeble- Tulowetzke. He graduated from Waubay High School in May 2002. Louis worked several jobs, Dakota Sioux Casio as a security guard, Woodland Cabinetry, taking care of his Mom until her death and then helped take care of his uncle Arthur Keeble. But mostly he enjoyed his music – Janet Jackson and Tina. He enjoyed walking and always taking care of his nieces and nephew. He will be missed by his family and classmates. Loved to draw, write poems, reading his bible. Louis died on November 7, South Dakota near Waubay, South Dakota as a result of an accident.

Louis is survived by his father Lewis Buck Elk of Fort Kipp, Montana; two brothers Joseph Buck Elk of Fort Kipp, Montana and Elijah Buck Elk of Waubay, SD; two sisters Lesley Buck Elk of Waubay, SD and Tiffany Buck Elk of Kipp, Montana and an aunt Mary Keeble of Sisseton, SD, 5 nieces and nephews Liliana, Tianna, Talan, Jayson and Jaylene.

Louis was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen, Maternal grandparents Lucy and Simon Keeble, Paternal grandparents Nancy and Henry Buck Elk, and Nancy Keeble.
