Funeral Service for Lorne Gene Lowe, 54, of Summit, SD will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with CRE Gerald Heminger, Jr., Susie Amos, and Philmore Simon officiating. Pianist will be Billy Kohl and Drum Group Bernard Boys. Pall Bearers will be Justin Bagola Jr., Shiloh Bagola, Jesse Kitto, Curtis Fayant, Thurston Owen, Malacchai Owen, Christopher Feather, and Daniel Greeley. Honorary Pall Bearers will be all of Lorne's nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers at Dakota Connection. Interment will be in the Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery, Big Coulee, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD, is in charge of arrangements.

Lorne Gene Lowe was born on July 7th, 1971, to Lawrence L Lowe Sr and Jacquelyn (Owen) Lowe at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. Since his dad was in the Air Force, we moved to Ellsworth Air Force Base for a few years. Then we moved to Fairchild AFB, Spokane Washington. From there we were sent to Royal Airforce Weathersfield AFB, England for 3.5 years when his grandma, 2 Aunties and uncle were killed in a house fire in Crawfordsville housing at Old Agency. After that we got orders to McGuire AFB, Wrightsville, NJ for 6 years where he graduated high school, got married, and had his daughter Ashley Lin Lowe was born. Lorne passed away on February 14, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls, SD.

Lorne is survived by his mother, Jacquelyn Lowe; his daughter Ashley Lowe of Jackson, New Jersey and his grandson Daniel of Jackson, New Jersey; two brothers, Lawrence Leo Lowe Jr. and Jeremy Lowe of Dallas, TX; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunties.

Lorne was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Lowe, maternal grandparents Gordon and Florine Owen and paternal grandparents, John and Mary Lowe.
