Funeral Mass for Loren "Chauch" Clifford Thompson, 53 of Browns Valley, SD will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter's Church, Sisseton, SD with Fr. Ken Lulf Celebrant, Butch Felix, and Jake Thompson. There will be a Wake Service on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. and an all-night Wake Service on Thursday, January 15, 2026, starting at 7:00 P.M. at St. Kateri's Hall, Sisseton, SD. Pianist will be Billy Kohl. Drum group will be . Loren Clifford Thompson was born on October 19, 1972, in Sisseton, SD to Bonnie Thompson and Richard "Dick" Bad Moccasin. He attended school at Peever, SD, Browns Valley, MN, SHS, TZTS and SWCC. He lived his life in Browns Valley. He worked at Synergy, Browns Valley, MN, SWO as a driver of the Vets bus, and SWO as a JOM driver. His hobbies were mowing lawns, burning fires, hunting, fishing, golfing, playing pool and attending his granddaughters' activities.  His favorite sport teams were the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and Georgetown Hoyas. Loren passed away at his home in Browns Valley, MN on January 8, 2026.

Loren is survived by his son Sidney Wanna; grandchildren Tanaeya Wanna, Tavaeya Greeley, Laniah Wanna, Torryn Heinecke; brothers Montique "Monte" (Jodi) Thompson and Russell Thompson; nephews Tristan, Tyler (TMon), Russell Jr. and Taylan Thompson; aunts Linda, Monica, Wanda, Teresa Thompson and Brenda Morin; uncles Benji and Winfield Thompson and Bruce and Paul Bad Moccasin; godchildren  Tyler and Benji (Little) Thompson; godparents (Sissy) Madeline Martin and Zacharius Thompson; Rocko and Roxie, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Thompson and Richard Bad Moccasin, maternal grandparents Winfield Sr. and Virgina (Redday) Thompson; paternal grandparents Sidney and Alma Bad Moccasin; Cousin Corey Keeble and Mikey Stevens.
