Funeral Mass for Loni Violet Barse, 30, of Peever, SD, will be held on Friday, July 303, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Fr. Tony Dummer Celebrant. Pianist will be Mary Beth Kirk with special music by the Kirk Family, Orville and Cindy LaBatte and Butch Felix. Pallbearers will be Jack Barse, Troy Barse, Mikey Rousseau, Brandon Barse, Jeremy Barse, Tracii Barse, Jay Barse, Christian Barse, Jacob Barse, and Dusty Barse. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shannon Hopkins, Melissa Eagle, Annissa Hill, Leslie N. Barse, Ashley Johnson, Dawna Walking Bull, Jamie Donnell, Donna Barse, Camille White, Janessa Barse, Jonita Barse, Niki Kirk, Georgia Robertson, Vina Williams, Bradley Dilworth and Marcella Eagle. There will be a wake service on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 7:00 PM at The Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, and there will be an all night wake on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 7:00 PM at St. Catherine's Hall, Sisseton, SD. Loni was born on June 25, 1980 in Fargo, North Dakota to Leslie J. and Kathleen (Eagle) Barse Sr. She grew up and attended school in Sisseton, SD. Following her education Loni lived with her parents because of her medical condition. She was united in marriage to Terrance Robertson Sr.on April 11, 2003 in Sisseton, SD. Loni loved to entertain family and loved to keep her family page on face book updated, she loved her children, loved watching movies, playing cards, playing yathzee and monopoly, and was a UFC fan, and she was always concerned for the welfare of others, cooking and caring for others. Loni passed away on July 27, 2010 at Coteau Des Prairies Hospital, Sisseton, SD of complications of her illness.
Loni is survived by her husband, Terrance Robertson Sr.of Peever, SD; her parents, Les and Kathy Barse Sr. of Peever, SD; two children, Ivy Mae Robertson and Terrance George Robertson Jr. of Peever, SD; three brothers, Les Barse Jr. of Sisseton, SD, Lydell Barse of St. Paul, MN and Lawren Barse of Peever, SD; two sisters, LaRae Richter of Sisseton, SD and her twin sister, Lona Barse of Peever, SD; her paternal grandmother Violet Barse of Agency Village, SD, nephews, cousins and special cousin, Steven Barse of Sisseton, SD.
Loni was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Frank Barse Sr., and maternal grandparents Elijah and Clara Eagle.
