Funeral Service for Lisa Ann Hisgun, Ih'ata ota winyan, Woman who laughs a lot, 47 of Minneapolis, MN will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center, Agency Village with Chief Leonard Crowdog officiating. Pallbearers will be Starr Hisgun, Colleen Papasodora, Bridgette Lussier, Angie Eagle, Violet Eagle, and Marsha LaFontaine. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wakuta Wakan Westerman, Freeman Hawk, Anthony Lussier, Kangi Duta Hisgun, Lucas Hisgun, Jonah Hisgun, Frank Mustache, Mark Papasodora and Phillip Lussier. Interment will be in the Sisseton Wahpeton Traditional Burial Grounds, Sisseton, SD. Wake Services will be held at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center, Agency Village at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday and Friday all night. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Lisa Ann Hisgun was born on June 28, 1969 in Sisseton, SD to Jerome Abraham and JoAnn
Hisgun. She attended school at Peever Elementary, Heart of the Earth Middle School and High School. She worked various jobs in Red Lake, MN from Casino work to cooking. Lisa raised her nephew, Jonah Lee Hisgun as her own. She had four children, Colleen Diane Papasodora, Anthony Phillip Jonathan Lussier, Sharon Rose Lussier and Bridgette Marie Lussier. Lisa was a wonderful mother, one of a kind. She enjoyed talking to her kids in baby talk. She had a big heart always made sure everyone around her was fed. She had a laugh you couldn't help but love. Lisa had many things about her that made people around her laugh and love, especially hearing her say Diiirty! She started her journey on December 11, 2016 at the Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN.
Lisa is survived by her mother, JoAnn Hisgun and father Jerome Abraham; her children, Colleen Papasodora, Anthony Phillip Jonathan Lussier, Sharon Rose Lussier and Bridgette Marie Lussier and Jonah Lee Hisgun; ten grandchildren, Mila Jewel Lynn Parkhurst, Penelope Rosalei Jo Donnell, Adonis Arther Lee Hisgun, Amillianna Rosalee Hisgun, Nakiya Lynn Hisgun, Janah Lei Hisgun, Joseph Hisgun, Deavion LaDell Beasley Jr., Dai Ana Lovely Rose Beasley and Sereya Fawn Lussier; siblings, Shelley Ann Hisgun, Noreen Emily Westerman, Kangi Duta Westerman, Wakuta Wakan Westerman, Roger Redday, and Frankie Redday
(Conrad Wayne Hisgun and Joyce Redday who passed on to the spirit world).
