Graveside Service for Lillian (Bird) Lawrence will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Episcopal Cemetery, Agency Village, SD with Fr. Charles Chan officiating. Urn Bearers will be Rich Lawrence Jr., Nick Lawrence, Wyatt Lawrence, Elliott Schoenrock, Sam Williams Jeffrey Amos and Dallas Lawrence. Honorary Urn Bearers will be Silvia and Mike Owen, Ruth Bird, Rose Chase, Davonna Blackthunder, Rhonda Schoenrock, Fern Baker, Barbara King, Darrell Renville, Sam and Kerry Bird, Rob and Melonene Lawrence, Joan and Perry Mahpiyasna, Sonya and Marlon Amos, Richard Lawrence Sr. and all of Lillian's nieces, nephews. Grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a Wake Service on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 7:0 P.M. at the Old Agency District Center, Agency Village, SD at 7:00 P.M. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Lillian M. (Bird) Lawrence was born on September 16, 1927 in Sisseton, SD to Samuel Bird and Laura (Renville) Bird. She was the oldest of nine children Lillian grew up and attended school in Peever, SD and. after her education she was united in marriage to Samuel A. Lawrence. The couple resided in Chicago, Ill and Oakland, CA in the early years of their marriage before returning to the Peever, SD area until Samuel's death September 1970. Lillian enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and "watching her soaps." Lillian passed away at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND on July 10, 2020.

Lillian is survived by one sister, Silvia (Mike) Owen of Peever SD; sons Robin (Melonene) Lawrence, Richard Lawrence Sr.; daughters, Joni (Perry) Mahpiyasha, Sonya (Marlon) Lawrence; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Dam and Laura, Husband Samuel. Four brothers Kenneth, Milton Curtis and Lincoln; her sisters Thelma, Beverly and Karen and recently her daughter Sara Hayes.
