Funeral service for Leanne Renae Rodlund, 35, of Agency Village, SD will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the SWO Community Center in Agency Village, SD, with Pastor Milton Owen and Cecil Renville Jr. officiating. Pianists will be Billy Kohl and Kay Bursheim. Pallbearers will be John German III, Davontae Wanna, Lonnie Rodlund Jr., Romeo Renville, Evan Rodlund, Dusty Snow, Justin Canku, William Owen, Dennis Owen Jr., Brian Rodlund Jr., and Gabriel Rodlund. Honorary pallbearers will be Elsie Williams, Johnna Marks, Shanna Keoke, Billie Premus, Lindsey Abraham, Donna Williams, Lucille Eastman, Tasha DuMarce, Danae St John, Nadine Kohl, Jessica Wanna, Vanessa Wanna, DeAnna LaBelle, Miranda DuMarce, Jeremiah Rodlund, Brendon Rodlund, Scott Rodlund ,Mikey Kohl, Rhonda DuMarce, Sasha Owen and Moses Rodlund. Drum group will be Dakota Nation. Wake services will be held Wednesday, and Thursday, November 6 and 7 at 7:00 PM at the SWO Community Center in Agency Village, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Leanne Renae Rodlund was born on October 14, 1984 to Micheal Farmer and Lonnie Rodlund Sr in Sisseton, SD. Throughout her high school years, she attended both Tiospa Zina Tribal School and Crow Creek Indian School, where she played basketball. May of 2009, Leanne married Jeffrey Chaske Heminger Sr. and moved to Oceanside, California. They later had three sons, Jeffrey Jr. (9), Alex (7), and Jaxton (5). In 2014, Leanne moved back home to Sisseton SD, and was in employed at Dakota Magic Casino as a waitress and housekeeper for a few years. She enjoyed taking cruises, listening to music, cleaning, spending time outdoors, and doing her makeup, especially her eyebrows and lashes. Our Leanne Renae was the best mom to her boys and the most favorite auntie to all of her nieces and nephews. She'll be remembered most for her beautiful smile and contagious energy.

She's survived by her mother, Micheal and Steven Farmer Jr., father Lonnie Rodlund Sr, three sons, Jeffrey, Alex, and Jaxton, five sisters, Miranda Rodlund, Miranda DuMarce, Amber Rodlund, Tasha Fatland, Loni Rodlund, Rose Rodlund, two brothers, Justin Chanku Sr., and Lonnie Rodlund Jr, maternal grandfather, Jake Blacksmith, many nieces and nephews, and her partner in crime, Kelli Abraham, all of Sisseton, SD, one hunka sister, Julie Martinez of Chicago, IL, and many close friends & relatives.

Leanne was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Shirley Blacksmith-Owen, Dennis Owen Sr., and Nancy Two Stars, paternal grandparent Tina Renville, and Laquetta Snow-Goodbird, auntie Connie Rodlund, and cousin Tyson Renville.
