Celebration of Life Service for Lawrence "Junior" Ziebarth Jr. will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD with Pastor Vern Donnell officiating.  Pianist will be June Evenson and Soloist Meranda Shindelbower.  Urn Bearer will be Weezy Ziebarth and Honorary Urn Bearers will be Montana Williams, Jason Ziebarth and Davey Jenson.  Inurnment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence Ziebarth Jr. "Junior" was born February 28th, 1954, to Dorothy and Lawrence Ziebarth Sr. at Sisseton, SD.  Junior attended high school at Sisseton High School and graduated in 1972. He lived in Sisseton mostly aside from being a roadie with the band Token, which he was very proud of. His brother was the lead guitarist/singer. Junior loved many things in life: The Vikings, his cats, and his family. He was a collector of vinyl records and loved rock music. Everyone who knew Junior knew him as a kind man who would give them the shirt off his back at any given chance. Many people also knew him as the man who brought help to his community by picking up cans around town. He was a great joy to everyone who knew him. Even in his final moments everyone at the hospital and nursing home said he was a good, kind, and joyful man. When he was younger, he worked at his uncle Charles "Rusty" Wyman's store, where he worked for many years. Later in life, he worked as an assistant for his friend Jessie Stavig in his electrical business. Junior liked to joke that Jessie hired him to fit in the tight spaces he couldn't reach. His favorite hobbies were watching football, baseball, listening to music, and telling stories about his time on the road. Junior loved to care for people and animals, even leaving out scraps of food for the outside wildlife. Junior was a loving, caring man who loved his cats and his great nieces Weezy Ziebarth and Montana Williams who he raised like his own children.  Junior passed away on November 26, 2024 at the Wilmot Care Center.

Junior is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Ziebarth Sr. and Dorothy Ziebarth (Wyman) as well as his Sister Tamara Tichinel, brothers Roger Ziebarth, and Alvin Ziebarth.

He is survived by his brothers Wayne Ziebarth, Jeff (Joan) Ziebarth, Greg (Deborah) Ziebarth, and his many nieces and nephews.
