Kessa was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend, who will be remembered as someone who deeply loved her friends and family. She was born on April 8th, 1994 to Darrell Mireau and Sheila Bird. She grew up with her siblings, Kenny, Lakresha, Jaron, Jordan, Morgan, and Israel, along with many cousins. During her childhood, she danced at many powwows with her dad and siblings. She graduated from Tiospa Zina High School in 2012. In 2016, she met the love of her life, Shane. They stood by each other through thick and thin. Kessa and Shane spent nearly 8 years together, building a beautiful life with their four children, Dreyzen, Mary, Matthew, and Pearl, at their home in New Effington. Kessa fiercely loved her children, and was her happiest and best self around them. They were her entire world. Kessa's love for her family will live on within them.

Kessa enjoyed being with her family and friends, fishing with Shane and the kids, watching movies, caring for their numerous beloved animals, and making silly jokes. Kessa had an adventurous spirit and liked trying new things, including new recipes, make-up ideas, and traveling to new places with her family. She was a beautiful and kind soul, and will be missed deeply by those who were lucky enough to know her. Our loss is immeasurable.

Kessa is survived by her husband, her four children, her parents, siblings, and many aunties, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
