Memorial Service for Kenneth R. Wyman Sr., 82 of Summit, SD will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Suzie Bendit officiating. Organist will be Mona Greseth and soloist will be Pat Schubert. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Kenneth's Family, Friends and Relatives. Inurnment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery Veteran Section, Sisseton, SD with Military Rites by the Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Post #50 and Fort Sisseton VFW Post #3342. There will be visitation on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Cahill Funeral Chapel from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with family present. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth Raymond Wyman of Summit, SD passed away December 25, 2014 at Tekawitha Nursing Center in Sisseton, SD.
Kenneth Raymond Wyman was born February 19, 1932 in the coulees of Roberts County, SD. He was the son of Bill and Ollie (Moore) Wyman. He grew up in the Sisseton area. He entered the military in 1955 and was discharged in 1957.
In June of 1958 he married Mary Lucille Moe. They made their home around the Summit S.D. area. He was a mechanic at heart; and he liked to work on the I.H. tractors. He was employed at Peever, Webster and Milbank dealerships for years. He also worked for many farmers fixing tractors, cars, pickups, hauling hay and straw, milking cows and shearing sheep with the help of his wife and children. He enjoyed visiting with people, especially talking about machinery. He had the knack for machines. He could tell you what was wrong just by listening to a tractor.
He is survived by his wife Mary Wyman, six children, Kenneth Jr. (Nancy) Wyman, Summit S.D., Linda Gerdon, Cogswell N.D., Loretta (Kelvin) Hagen, Watertown S.D., David (Jodie) Wyman, Summit, S.D., LeRoy (Denise) Wyman, Sioux Falls, S.D., Rose (Tim) Krueger, Savage M.N.; two step sons, Merton (Val) Moe, Waubay, S.D., and Robin (Bonnie) Moe, Summit, S.D. and just like a daughter Christi (Brian) Thurman, Summit, S.D.; two brothers Charles "Rusty" Wyman, Sisseton, S.D. and Marvin (Doris) Wyman, Portland, OR, and one sister Mrs. Dorothy Ziebarth, Sisseton, S.D. and many grandchildren as well as great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Ollie Wyman and one brother Robert Wyman.
