Funeral Service for Kenneth Lee Philips, 54 of Maupin, OR will be on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center in Agency Village, SD with Rev. Fr. Charles Chan, Rev. Jerome Renville and Episcopal Lay Readers officiating. Pallbearers will be John Philips, Eric Swearingen, Garret Swearingen , Royce Swearingen, Anthony Gregerson, Billy Keoke, Mark Keoke, and Stacey Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Kenneth's Friends & Family. All night Wake Service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. Interment will be at St. Mary's Episcopal Cemetery, Agency Village, SD. following the service. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Kenneth was born to Claude & Patricia Philips in Bowman, North Dakota. The family moved to Tygh Valley, Oregon in 1969, where he attended Tygh Valley Grade School, and Wasco County Union High School in Maupin. In later years, he attended Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown for Automotive Technology. He was employed at Cobham Composite Products in San Diego, CA as an Aerospace Technician, and then later as a technician at GKN Aerospace in El Cajon, CA. Ken had his daughter, Tiffany, with Tonya Koich in 1990. He later married Julie Stiegelmeier in 2001, bringing Anthony, Andrea, Joshua, and Lacy into his family. His hobbies included Native American Beading, hunting, fishing, X-box Gaming, Landscape Photography, Automotive Repair, and Face booking.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Tiffany (J.D.) Leis, his wife, Julie Philips, step-children Anthony, Andrea, Joshua, and Lacy; his sisters, Michelle (Jim) Swearingen, Juanita (Dennis) Causbrook, Annette Philips, and Ellen Walker; brother John Philips; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Pat Philips, Grandparents: Ephraim Keoke, Sr., Elleraine Renville Keoke Miller, John Philips, and Alice Schmidt Marmon.
