Funeral Service for Kenneth Ray Ortley Sr., 63, of Browns Valley, MN will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Lake Traverse District Center, Browns Valley, MN with Pastor Jerome Renville and Gerald Heminger Jr. CLP officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Ortley, Kenneth Ortley Jr., Elias Ortley, Kyle ThreeLegs, Carlos Kitto, Erik Ortley, Jeff Ortley and Jordan Ortley. Honorary Pallbearers "All of Kenneth's Friends and Family". Interment will be in the Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery, Big Coulee, South Dakota. All night wake will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Lake Traverse District Center. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, South Dakota is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Ray Ortley Sr. was born August 5, 1952 to Silas and Rosalie Ortley Sr. He attended school in Browns Valley. He later received his GED and continued his education in Grand Forks, ND. Ken worked at the Dakota Sioux and Dakota Magic where he was employed for 20 years and retired in 2014. Kenneth died on June 28, 2016 at Coteau Des Prairie Hospital, Sisseton, SD.

He is survived by three sons Joshua Ortley of Sioux Falls, SD, Kenny Ortley Jr. and Elias Ortley both of Browns Valley, MN and daughter Lindsey Ortley of Aberdeen, SD; three brothers Edmund Two Stars of Agency Village, SD, Silas Ortley Jr. of Browns Valley, MN and Gary Ortley of McLauglin, SD and sister Mary Ortley of Browns Valley, MN; granddaughters Jaelyn Ortley and Janessa Hemmah; grandson Joaquin Resiemus; special granddaughters Lexi Sanchez and Angel Pumpkinseed; niece Janet Ortley; grand children Angel Ortley and Destiny Patton; many nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Felicia Ortley and Lavonne Ortley and nephew Gary Ortley Jr.
