Funeral Service for Keith Swiftbird Hawk Jr., Mahkpiya To "Blue Sky" 18, of Sisseton, SD will be on April 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. Officiating will be Fr Conrad Ciesel, Deacon Bitsy Ciesel and the Sisseton Mission Episcopal Lay Readers. Drum group will be Noisey Bear. Pallbearers will be Prosper Thunderhawk, Malachi Keoke, Corbat Heron, Jaymin Runnels, Nathen Howard, Anthony McKinney, Trenton Richotte and Sam Dubois. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Runnels, LaDonna Runnels, Lyla Runnels, Lonald Runnels III, Gabriel DuMarce, Isaiah Renville Jr., Seth Flute, Marcus Roy, Tracy Heminger Jr., Luke Lawrence, Jaelyn Pilcher, Lyla McKinney, Anthony McKinney, Isaiah McKinney, Eric Brown, Sebastian Westerman, Alondra Perry, Tessa LaBatte, Amanda Iyarpeya, Alex Lufkins, Jelaina LaBatte, Damien Cadotte Jr., Mariah Cadotte, Mercedes Cadotte, Jacob Barse Sr., Vivica Barse, Isabella Barse, Ariona Barse, Jrue Brant, Mimi Brant, Avalya Brant, Elisa Hawk, Tahviya Lohness, and Tama Lohness. There will be a wake service on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 and an all night wake on Thursday, April 20, 2023 starting at 7:00 PM at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center in Agency Village, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Keith was born on January 13, 2005 to Lucinda Runnels in Watertown, SD. Keith attended the Circle of Nations School at Wahpeton, ND and Watertown High School, Watertown, SD. Keith's hobbies were basketball, listening to music, and spend time with his little brother Akicita. Keith passed away on April 15, 2023 at Sisseton, South Dakota.

Keith is survived by his mother Lucinda Runnels and step-father Gabriel DuMarce; brothers Nathen Howard and Akicita DuMarce; father Keith Hawk Sr., sister Dianika Dumarce all of Watertown, SD; maternal grandmother Lily Runnels of Watertown, SD; paternal grandpa Freeman Hawk of Sisseton, SD.

Keith is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Lonald Runnels; paternal grandmother Catherine Hawk; paternal grandfather Westly Zotigh .
