Funeral Mass for Keith Rodney DuMarce, 53 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Sisseton, SD with Rev. Fr. Jerry Ranek celebrant. Organist will be Billy Kohl. Drum group will be Red Storm. Pallbearers will be Randy White, Troy DuMarce, Vine "Hokie" Marks Jr., Kenny Hill, Richard Ponce Owen and Shane DuMarce. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Brant, Kenneth "John Boy" Bursheim, Eddie Blackthunder, Rollie Harwood, Sonny Chanku, Victor Simon, Donavon King, Les Sullivan, Lola Spider, Willie Varnes, Irvin High Eagle, Robin Dirtseller, Lynette LaCroix, Geno Locke, Dale Frenier, Mike Thompson, Marvin Keoke, Elwood "EJ" Greybuffalo, Stacey Brant and Randolf "Randy" White. Interment will be in the Goodwill Presbyterian Cemetery, Agency Village, SD. There will be a Wake Service on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Peter's Hall, Sisseton, SD and an all-night Wake on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St Catherine's Hall, Sisseton, SD at 7:00 P.M. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Keith Rodney DuMarce was born on March 31, 1962 in Sisseton, SD to Leonard and Connie (St. John) DuMarce, Keith attended school at Tekakwitha, Sisseton and Stephan School. He furthered his education at Kicking Horse Job Corps, Haskell and received a welding certificate from United Tribes Technical College at Bismarck, ND. Keith married Anita Wilson in 1984 and was married until 1992 to this union they had five children: Darlena, Juanita, Wayne, Dillion and Billy Ray. He was a very talented artist; he loved painting pictures and drawing. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, cruising, watching sports, boxing and football especially the Kansas City Chiefs. Keith passed away on May 2, 2015 at Coteau des Prairies Hospital, Sisseton, SD from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Keith is survived by his mother, Connie DeMarrias of Sisseton, SD; eight children, Darlena DuMarce of Watertown, SD, Juanita DuMarce of Sisseton, SD, Wayne DuMarce of Sioux Falls, SD, Dillon DuMarce of Sisseton, SD, Terrie DuMarce of Minneapolis, MN, Calli DuMarce of Sisseton, SD, Josh Max of Sisseton, SD and Shanda Locke of Custer, SD; special friend, Cindi Barse of Sisseton, SD; two sisters, Julie (Norman) Watts of Sisseton, SD and Patricia (Larry) Nerison of Sisseton, SD; four brothers, Donovan (Robin) Keeble of Sisseton, SD, Harlan DuMarce of Sisseton, SD, Leonard DuMarce of Sisseton, SD , and Bruce DeMarrias of Sisseton, SD; and twelve grandchildren.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Leonard DuMarce Sr. and step father, Floyd DeMarrias; one son, Billy Ray DuMarce; three brothers, Wayne DuMarce, Michael DuMarce and Rodney DuMarce; and one granddaughter, Paris Williams.
