Justus Two Stars, 17, of Veblen, SD passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Coteau Des Prairies Hospital in Sisseton, SD from an unexpected health complication.  Funeral Services for Justus will be Friday, August 17, 2018 starting at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Episcopal with lunch at 11:00 A.M. at Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center. Fr. Conrad Ciesel, Deacon Bitsey Ciesel, Pastor Nippy Owen, St. Mary's Lay Readers officiating. Pallbearers will be Courage Brown, Weston Hill, Tyrone Bearhead, Sam Dubois, Glenn Fineday III, Samuel Fineday, Nyton Owen, Tyler Thompason. All night wake services will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 starting at 7:00 P.M. with supper starting at 5:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center. Interment will be at St. Mary's Episcopal Cemetery. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Justus Two Stars was born on December 31, 2000 in Sisseton, SD to Jai David Two Stars and Jessica Anderson. Justus grew up in Montana and moved back home in June 2017 to live with her aunt and uncle, Janet and Jeremy Brown. She was in her junior year of high school at Tiospa Zina Tribal School.

Justus was a very outgoing, happy, energetic, and loving girl. She enjoyed outdoor activities, ball games, camping, and spending time with family, friends, and her puppy Carl. She enjoyed working summer youth and grew fond of taking care of the children. Justus was a free spirited girl, who showed love to all those around her and made everyone smile with her sense of humor. She was love by so many.

Justus is survived by her mother Jessica Anderson; brothers, Jaydeen, Jarius, Jace; sister Jaia; aunt Randi Baker, grandparents Roger Ortley, Patty Bernard, Barbara and Pastor Nippy Owen, John Jr., and Danielle Two Stars; grandfather Dean Anderson, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Proceeded in death by her father Jai David Two Stars, grandmother Yvonne Nancy Two Stars, grandmother Lorna Drum; great-grandparents John Sr. and Estelline Two Stars.
