Visitation for June Ion Kasyoki, 79 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD.

June was born on June 27, 1938 in Breien, North Dakota to Jerry and Lutina (Chase) Rhone Sr. She attended school at Solin and graduated from Solin High School. She attended Dickinson State College for two years. She taught in North Dakota for a time. She was united in marriage and farmed. They had five children. She attended Ellendale College in Ellendale, ND and received her Bachelor of Science Degree. She then attended Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD and received her master's degree in Administration and Special Ed. She was united in marriage to Benjamin Kasyoki in Sisseton, SD in 1987. She taught at Tiospa Zina Tribal School before she started Kasyoki Christian Academy from 1993 until present. She was an excellent cook. She enjoyed sewing, preaching, gardening, collecting old coins. She loved to take care of stray cats. June passed away at the Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD on November 11, 2017.

June is survived by her husband, Benjamin Kasyoki of Sisseton, SD; and one brother, Richard (Pearl) Rhone of North Dakota.
